I bought a mk3 Mondeo in January which has just developed a fault. was driving home accelerating through 5th gear (3400rpm) and the glow start light started flashing and a slight loss in power. got it home which was about another 2 miles and switched it off then back on again the flashing had stopped
I have the same problem with my 2003 Mondeo tdci. 120k. Glow plug light came on during a trip down to Cornwall. Now its hard to start when left overnight. Car runs fine once engine is warmed up tho. Checked my glow plugs and none of them was working so thought that must be the problem. Replaced with four new NKG.

testing glow plug s is a really easy job . 1.. lay hands on a simple multimeter ie electircal resistance tester . meter . about a tenner on the bay 2. take the connector bar off the glowplugs and strip it off back to the large phillips screw on the insulator on the right of the glow plugs..
